Who am I?

Does anyone want me?

NEGLECT

I FEEL neglect

I am NEGLECT...NEGLECTED

By who?

Everyone

No one likes me

No one wants me

Not even my parents want me or love me, all they do is……...ABUSE me

I am only 14

Why me?  What did I ever do?

I don’t deserve this...no one does

Where is my way out of the misery?

The misery of NEGLECT

Is there something that can make me feel wanted?

Or maybe even someone who will make me feel wanted?

But no...no one likes me...

DRUGS?  Is that the answer?

This has got to be the way? There’s only one way to see…..  try it?

It makes me feel something, a feeling like no other

Something I've never felt before……..  ACCEPTANCE!

But is this the only way?

I need someone, a friend, someone to BOND with, someone to TALK to,

Someone who will LISTEN to me, SUPPORT me, HELP me!

Drugs is my only FRIEND, the only thing that accepts me for……………..me,

The only thing that loves me as much as i love it

We have become very close, almost as if we were best friends, If only it were a person

Maybe drugs is a trend for me

It sets me FREE from all the MISERY

NEGLECT is a pain,

That comes with huge gain

My drug USE turns to drug ABUSE

Do all teens do this or is it just me?

I can't be the only one

If only I could find someone like me

A FRIEND, a friend to bond with me, talk to me, listen to me, support me, help me

We can fight the drug abuse problem TOGETHER

We won’t stand alone in our decisions

We support each other, we help each other

Teens and drugs seem to fit perfectly together

But there is always a way out

DRUGS?

Drugs is NOT the way out

There is HELP for EVERYONE

Never doubt a friend, There the BEST kind of help

FRIENDS DO MATTER!

LEND A HAND TO A TEEN DRUG ABUSER...YOU NEVER KNOW THEIR STORY!

Being a friend can help a teen drug abuser

Teen drug abuse is becoming a bigger problem each day. Almost every day a new teen is offered drugs or witnessed some type of drug abuse. Some reasons teens go to drugs is because they have a family history of drug abuse peer pressure or belief that it’s okay to do it, but the main reason a teen turns to the low extent of drug abuse is some kind of neglect or low self-esteem whether or not it’s social neglect or family neglect. One way we can help prevent teens from turning to drugs is by being a friend and accepting all kinds. Be a friend and help them, try to pick them up when they are down, and most of all be their main support system in all situations. People may disagree with my belief that we should lend a hand and help prevent teen drug abuse so my question is… Should teens help prevent teen drug abuse by being a friend to them? I believe that they should because the teens that are abusing drugs today is going to affect our future.

Some people would say that by just being a friend to someone isn’t going to make them stop doing drugs. I can see were there coming from but sometimes being a friend is all that someone needs to comfort them through the hardships in life. Also by being a friend to a person who feels unwanted and that gets neglected by others can always help. When a teen or a person in general feels that people don’t want them around or accept them, they will do things such as drugs to either fit in with the others or just do it to try and escape the pain for neglect. The author states in the article “Drugs is a substance that enters the body as something harmful and it goes and messes with the brain so that you can’t think straight. It messes with the chemical imbalance in the brain, and messes up the state of mind you’re and practically puts you in another world.”  When you have a close friend to talk to it can change everything because you can tell them your problems and show their emotions instead of hiding them and letting it build up. By having a friend you can reveal your pain to, instead of drugs, is sometimes all it takes

When thinking about this topic it is a very serious situation and should be discussed thoroughly. The teens doing drugs today are going to be the thieves and rapist of the future if we don’t try and stop the matter now.  We don’t stop to think about what the outcome of neglect and bulling could lead to while it’s happening.  The world we live in today is already bad enough so why should we go and try to make it any worse for the future. That’s why I think we should all try to help prevent teen drug abuse by being a friend to someone else. We all need to stop and lend a hand to a teen drug abuser and reach out to help them.
